Coupling accounting with a minor in communications, Brennan likes the balance of his two fields of study. It is preparing him for a career in public accounting, where he will work with clients to balance their books.
But, the native of Milford, Ohio, yearns to make a greater difference. On campus, he is a member of the Christian Student Fellowship, a Gatton College of Business and Economics ambassador, part of the UK Service Corps and a volunteer at E7 Kids Café. A founding member of the Student Philanthropy Board, he wants to capitalize on the ideas from his first year to grow the board’s impact.
“Students have a tendency to not think far beyond graduation,” Brennan said. “But it is important for them to establish good habits now to carry them through adulthood. It is important to be connected to your community and part of change so that the students who come after you have a better place to live and learn.”
